  • 1. Skid Steer Operator

    Job Summary:

    The Skid Steer Operator is responsible for operating skid steers and related equipment to perform rough grading, final grading, lot preparation, and site cleanup. This position plays a key role in preparing construction sites for building work.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Operate skid steer and other equipment safely and efficiently.
    • Perform lot preparation, including clearing, grading, and compacting soil.
    • Conduct rough and final grading to required specifications.
    • Maintain job site cleanliness and ensure proper site preparation for builders.
    • Perform basic equipment inspections and maintenance checks.
    • Work closely with laborers and foremen to ensure project timelines are met.
    • Report equipment issues or job delays to the Foreman or Project Manager.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience operating skid steers in construction or dirtwork.
    • Understanding of grades, elevations, and site plans.
    • Ability to operate in tight spaces and on varied terrain.
    • Valid driver's license (CDL a plus but not required).

  • 2. Laborer

    Job Summary:

    The Laborer supports the Skid Steer Operator and other crew members with general on-site tasks including material handling, site prep, and cleanup. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in grading and dirtwork.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist skid steer operator with tasks such as spotting, grade checking, and cleanup.
    • Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment at the job site.
    • Use hand tools, rakes, shovels, and compactors as needed.
    • Clean and maintain equipment and job site areas.
    • Follow safety procedures and wear proper PPE at all times.
    • Perform other manual labor as directed by Foreman.

    Qualifications:

    • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying outdoor conditions.
    • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
    • Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
    • Previous construction or grading experience a plus but not required.


  • 3. Class A CDL Driver

    Job Summary:

    The CDL Driver is responsible for transporting heavy equipment, materials, and aggregates to and from job sites. They play a vital support role in keeping projects running efficiently.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Safely transport skid steers, excavators, and other equipment to job sites.
    • Deliver base material, gravel, or fill dirt as needed.
    • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on truck and trailer.
    • Maintain logs and comply with DOT regulations.
    • Assist on-site as needed (loading/unloading, basic labor).
    • Communicate with the Foreman and Project Manager regarding schedules and site access.

    Qualifications:

    • Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record.
    • Experience hauling equipment and materials.
    • Knowledge of proper tie-down procedures and load limits.
    • Ability to operate trucks in urban, suburban, and rural environments.

  • 4. Foreman

    Job Summary:

    The Foreman oversees daily field operations, ensuring that dirtwork and grading projects are completed safely, on time, and to specification. This role involves leading a small crew, coordinating logistics, and reporting progress.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Supervise on-site crews (operator, laborer, driver).
    • Review site plans, elevations, and grading requirements.
    • Ensure proper execution of lot prep, rough/final grading, and cleanup.
    • Coordinate with Project Manager to schedule crews and equipment.
    • Maintain jobsite safety, quality control, and productivity.
    • Track job progress and report daily updates.
    • Train and mentor crew members.

    Qualifications:

    • 3+ years experience in grading/dirtwork or site development.
    • Leadership experience in a construction environment.
    • Strong knowledge of grades, drainage, and compaction.
    • Ability to read and interpret site plans and laser levels.
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • 5. Project Manager

    Job Summary:

    The Project Manager oversees all phases of dirtwork projects, from planning to execution. This includes budgeting, scheduling, client communication, and coordinating crews and equipment. The PM ensures that work is completed efficiently and meets quality standards.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage multiple grading/dirtwork projects simultaneously.
    • Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
    • Coordinate with clients, builders, and site supervisors.
    • Order materials and schedule deliveries/equipment.
    • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and troubleshoot issues.
    • Ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
    • Prepare reports and billing documentation.

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years experience in construction or grading project management.
    • In-depth knowledge of dirtwork and site development practices.
    • Strong scheduling and budgeting skills.
    • Ability to lead and communicate across all levels of the team.
    • Proficient in basic project management tools or software (e.g., Excel, Buildertrend, etc.).
